          Nestled at the foot of the North Shore Mountains on the banks of the Indian Arm is located Vancouver’s best kept secret "DEEP COVE". Home to Artists, Authors, Yuppies, Professionals, Retirees and just plain "Folk" Deep Cove offers a rich community spirit. Main Street (Gallant Ave) has a variety of funky stores and sidewalk cafesto tempt your fancy as well as more mundane necessities. Spectacular scenery and a wide range of recreational facilities are taken for granted here. Safe neighbourhood in a rural ambiance yet only 30 minutes to Downtown Vancouver make this a sought after community. Home to the Deep Cove Yacht Club,the Seycove Marina, and Deep Cove Canoe and Kayak it is easy to see that the water sports are well supplied. With 10 miles of spectacular fiord on our doorstep we offer sailing, power boating, water skiing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. Our local mountains provide winter skiing and snow boarding on Mount Seymour a mere 10 minutes to the slopes. Plus the mountains afford year round hiking and mountain biking on the numerous trails. The famous Whistler ski resort is only 90 minutes away. Other recreational facilities include two golf courses, ice hockey rinks, gym and excersise, an olympic size swiming pool, tennis courts etc. Along the waterfront are numerous parks allowing beach access, boat launch and public wharf facilities. Property in the area is as varied as the population and includes a wide range from small cottages to luxury waterfront residences with their own sheltered dock facilities. Schools are excellent. There are three elementary schools; Cove Cliff, Dorothy Lynas and Sherwood Park feeding into Seycove Secondary School. French immersion is offered at Sherwood Park and Dorothy Lynas alongside the regular English curriculum. All in all, a fantastic place.
